Our Courses

Counselling Works offers Advanced Post Diploma training and CPD workshops for counsellors and psychotherapists in Milton Keynes and Stirling areas. We are also able to offer any of our courses in-house to other organisations. These may include corporate providers (Critical Incident), training organisations and local counselling groups (our CPD workshops).

To view our workshop and training programme click on the pop-out which appears to the right of the button you clicked on to see this page. There are various ways to sign-up:

  • sign up on line - see below for help with this
  • print the course details and send Angela a cheque
  • phone us and give us a credit/debit card number over the phone

How to register – it’s easy and saves time next time you visit.

The first time you enrol for an event on line you will need to register first.

To do this, first find a workshop or training that interests you and click on “View details”. At the bottom of the page you are sent to click on “Enrol”.

Under the “Login box”, click on Register.

You are sent to a registration page. This asks you for your name, address and e-mail address. (We will not pass this information to anyone else).

You will need to choose a “Login” – which is the same as a “user name” plus a password. Write them down as you choose them because you will need them in a minute. (If you are already a Counselling Works affiliate or renter – it’s ok to choose the same login & password.)

If it all goes ok you get the message “Record Added Successfully...” at the top of the page. If you want to add a friend you can do so now, but most people will click on the events list and then go back to the event they are interested in.

Now, when you click “enrol” you can type in the login & password you have just chosen.

How to save money on workshops and training

Running workshops and training for counsellors is not for the faint hearted! The problem is that counsellors are busy people who don't like telling people what to do, and this becomes such a habit that they don't even tell temselves to sign-up for really good stuff! The result is that they leave it till the last minute to book.

Meantime we will have committed to a presenter, accommodation, transport and hall hire, anything up to a year ahead - you can't get the top people if you don't. However, we often don't know whether we will even break even on an event until a week or so before it's on.

To try to make the events more secure for you and us, we are experimenting with offering low prices for those who book early, with a gradual increase to the full price as the event date gets closer. Its a bit like budget airlines or buying train tickets on line.

So book early to make a really good saving.
