Allan TurnerClinical Director: Allan Turner MBACP Registered Senior Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist.


Allan is an MBACP Registered Senior Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, starting counselling in 1980. He is a counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor with over 22,000 hours experience. He has also held senior roles with international insurance companies, was a Chartered Insurer and thus has a unique combination of commercial and clinical experience. He is particularly interested in couples-counselling, Aspergers, critical incidents and trauma, although his broad experience means that he has many areas of professional interest. Allan was a founder director of the company in 2002.

He has written on the subject of Person-Centred Approaches to Trauma, Critical Incidents and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Chapter three of "Client Issues in Counselling and Psychotherapy". Edited by Janet Tolan and Paul Wilkins. This is a Sage publication


Negotiated the first Civil Liabilities Insurance scheme for BAPCA (British Association for the Person Centred Approach) members.

Previously a Complaints and Professional Misconduct panel member for EAPA (Employee Assistance Programme Association) (British Chapter).

Past Chair of BAPCA, Treasurer, Executive committee member, and member of the Coordinating group and Administrator for the BAPCA Directory.

Built the first website and commissioned the current website for BAPCA, and continues to have overall responsibility for the current website.

Honorary member of BAPCA.

Founder member, and honorary member of PCT (Person Centred) Scotland.

Editorial panel member for the Person Centred Quarterly journal.

Founder member of the WAPCEPC (World Association for the Person Centered & Experiential Psychotherapy & Counseling)

Representative of the Person Centred Approach when In negotiation with Department of Health over regulating of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Kate StubbingsDirector: Kate Stubbings MBACP Registered Senior Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist.

Kate is also an MBACP Registered Senior Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist who has more than 8,000 hours of counselling and supervision experience gained with a broad range of clients which she acquired at Counselling Works, in private practice and previously as a Primary Health Care counsellor within the NHS. In addition to work with individuals a considerable amount of Kate's work is with couples which is of particular interest to her as is the subject of Asperger's Syndrome. Her long experience in business meant that she was able to bring exactly the commercial and counselling mix of experience the company needs to strengthen its executive team when Kate became a director in 2004.

Kate is coordinator of the Milton Keynes Rogerian group.These meetings are for Person-Centred Counsellors and Psychotherapists who are interested in exploring theory and practice. She formed this group in 2004 to give support, networking opportunities, learning and development, to person centred counsellors/trainees.

Director: Elizabeth Clarke MSc. Registered MBACP. UKCP Reg. Counsellor & Psychotherapist

Elizabeth was appointed as a Director to Counselling Works Ltd and Rooms to Talk Ltd in 2015 and holds an academic and clinical MSc in Person-Centred & Experiential Psychotherapy (a course accredited by the UKCP).  Elizabeth is involved in both the day to day running of both businesses as well as practicing as a therapist.  Elizabeth also has a BA (Hons) in European Business and an Advanced Certificate (equiv PGCert) from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and has held a number of managerial roles in the areas of Marketing Operations and Strategy.  She also has an active interest in the creative arts, and taught modern jive and other dance classes on a self-employed basis for a number of years.  Her belief in the importance of supporting the development of human agency coupled with her strategic and creative thinking means she fits well in our multi-faceted Executive Team.

Director / Consultant: Angela TurnerAngela Turner

Angela has been responsible for most of the smooth running of our ‘technology confident’, expanding company. Her background in Education and standards assurance, as well as formerly being a counsellor with a well-known couples counselling charity in Scotland, ideally equipped her for these responsibilities. Until this year, she was the first point of contact for those who enquired about our services. Angela was a founder director of the company, and is now a consultant to the business, with Elizabeth, Allan and Kate having taken on her roles and responsibilities.
